AUGUST 12-16, 2026
Vegas to Reno is the longest point-to-point off-road race in the United States. Jeepspeed runs all four spec classes at this Best in the Desert round on the Yokohama Tire Jeepspeed Race Series presented by KMC Wheels.
For 2026, the Casey Folks Vegas to Reno runs the other way for the first time: teams start in Reno and finish in Las Vegas. The course covers more than 500 miles of dry lake beds, powerline roads, mountain passes, silt beds, and graded roads across northern Nevada.
Jeepspeed vehicles are among the last classes off the line, so the course is already rough when they start. Plan on chase crews with plenty of spares. Two chase trucks can work, but three crews that leapfrog up the course give more flexibility on a race this long.
Air filters, cooling systems, and tire and wheel setups cause the most problems at this event. Many teams also plan for long stints in dust and after-dark driving.
Classes and entry
Challenge 1700, Cup 2700, Outlaws 3700, and Trophy 4700 all race this round. Entry and tech details are handled through Best in the Desert. See the race calendar for Jeepspeed forms and deadlines, or visit bitd.com for official event updates.
Confirm the current start, finish, and host hotel on the map and at BITD before race week. Course routing can change by year.
